HANA OLAP Connections do not display

Hi All,

we need to connect directly to HANA view from SAP BO Analysis for Office. We created several OLAP connection in BO CMC. They work fine in Design Studio and Analysis for OLAP, but they do not display in the list of connections of Analysis for Office. BW OLAP connections works fine in all clients. Version of Analysis for Office client is 2.0.3.8186. BI platform version is 4.0 SP11. What could be a reason of such behaviour? Thank you.

Hi Dmitry,

2.x releases does not support OLAP Connections

Only via HTTPS/HTTP you need to connect to HANA

Please have a look at document

Hi Subhash,

thank you for your help. I don't have an option HANA http in CMC (may be due to BI 4.0 Platform):

so i isntalled 1.4 client version and now i can use my HANA OLAP connections.

Correcting my first statement in above reply

2.x does not support ODBC based  connection which are defined in OLAP Connections

You need to create a using HTTP/HTTPS based for your system in OLAP Connections and use it

You need to upgrade your BIP to latest one in order to make use of it

Follow the steps mentioned in the document
