Update Mass Registration record

Dear Folks,

We are in a process of data migration activity. We are migrating about 1 lakh record, from 2010. Is there any way which can enable us to do mass registration and module booking, apart from developing zprograms, which we are currently doing. LSMW recording is not working for PIQST00.

Sandeep,

  They only way to migrate SLCM data using a Z program. LSMW is not the right way to migrate  Student File or Student master data.

Hi Sandeep,

If you cannot do it with PP02 or PP03 (better one) transactions, you'd better develop a custom program for you to do that

Dear Hakan,

PP02 can be used for master data, but for registration, module booking and result data, we need zprograms. The problem we are facing is zprograms are updating max 5000 records in about 8 hrs. we tried directly updating the app server using cg3z transaction, by creating a directory, still we face performance glitch. Anyways i have raised this request in our forum. But for now I dont have any solution.

   Did you ask your developer to run a trace and why it's taking so long? It might be because required frequent commit and buffer clearing.
