ASCS Split

Hello Experts,

I am planning to do ASCS split from my classical Central Instance.

As per this SAP note 2013043, it says, Configuration changes can be easily reverted.

But there are no steps mentioned how to revert the configuration changes,

Can anyone please provide me the steps to do the revert of ASCS split?

Thank you.

Regards,

Karthick Eswaran

Hello,

You would have to stop and disable the ASCS instance. Then, re-enable the Message Server process at your old CI, and add an enqueue work process to it as well.

Maybe the SAP note 821904 can help with more detailed steps.

Hello Isaias,

Thanks for the quick reply.

SAP note which you have provided is only for Db2 with z/OS.

We have DB210.5.5 for LUW.

And also we have 7.42 Kernel 101 patch level.

Hello,

OK, but the parameters you would have to revert would be the same, disregarding the OS and SAP kernel in use .

Hello,

Just reverting to the old backup profiles (before Enqueue split) will reset the Standlanle Enque to classical Enque.

Thank you,
