Mind Challenge - Family Crossing River

I read this while surfing and found it interesting .. 

Hard River Crossing

A family has to cross the river. On one side of the river are a mom and 2 daughters, dad and 2 sons, the maid and the dog. There is a boat only big enough to hold 2 people (counting the dog as 1 person). Only the adults are capable of operating the boat. Everyone has to get to the other side, without anything bad happening.

Difficulties:

• If the dog is left with anyone and the maid isn’t there to control him, he’ll bite.
• The dad can’t be left with any of the daughters when the mom isn’t there.
• Likewise, the mom can’t be trusted alone with either of the sons when the dad isn’t there.
  

Remember! only an adult can operate the boat, AND the boat can’t drive itself.

How can you solve it ?

This is one messed up family! They have money for a maid but not for a bigger boat (or for dog training). Parents not to be left with the children alone - that's just disturbing. And I guess it's only OK to leave dad with the maid because she has an angry dog. These perverts should be detained immediately and not allowed to cross any rivers IMHO.

Those good old "cabbage, goat and wolf" riddles didn't make a of of sense either but at least were PG-13...

One messed up family indeed.

I believe it is better for all parties to just split ways and give the boat to the maid who has probably suffered enough of this sick and twisted family.

no where its mentioned that their daughters or son are not adults

so if we assume their daugthers and sons are adults, its possible

A to B, Maid+Dog, leave Dog, Maid B to A

A to B, Maid+Daughter1, leave Maid, Daughter1 B to A

A to B, Daughter1+Daughter2, leave Daughter1, Daughter2 B to A

A to B, Daughter2+Mom, leave Daughter2, Mom B to A

A to B, Mom+Dad, leave Mom, Dad B to A

A to B, Dad+Son1, leave Dad, Son1 B to A

A to B, Son1+Son2, all on the other side

Is it correct or am I trying to be too smart?

I read this while surfing and found it interesting .. 

now I know the best way to find answer is to google it ... honestly, I just too lazy to find it on google... may becasue its friday but I will definitely try it some other day ...

Now, all of them are on the other side..
