Issue about the scaling factor and unit display in AO

Hello, experts,

I have an issue about scaling factor/unit needed to be solved in Analysis for Office (AO2.0) report.

Scenario:

1. When I set scaling factor (*100) for column in Bex Query Designer.

(1-1) Select the 'Display scaling factor and unit' in Analysis

ActualForecastDifferenceAchieved
* 100 JPY* 100 JPY* 100 JPY%
Sales40,955,90441,583,072-627,16898.4918
Cost8,928,0008,648,400279,600103.2330

(1-2) Unselect the 'Display scaling factor and unit' in Analysis

ActualForecastDifferenceAchieved
Sales40,955,904 JPY41,583,072 JPY-627,168 JPY98.4918 %
Cost
8,928,000 JPY
8,648,400 JPY
279,600 JPY
103.2330 %

2. When I set nothing about scaling factor (default) in Bex Query Designer.

(2-1) Select the 'Display scaling factor and unit' in Analysis

ActualForecastDifferenceAchieved
Sales4,095,590,400 JPY4,158,307,200 JPY-62,716,800 JPY98.4918 %
Cost892,800,000 JPY864,840,000 JPY27,960,000 JPY103.2330 %

(2-2) Unselect the 'Display scaling factor and unit' in Analysis

--> The same with (2-1)

(2-3) Delete the percentage column 'Achieved'

ForecastDifference
SalesJPY4,095,590,4004,158,307,200
CostJPY892,800,000864,840,000

I have two questions about above result:

1. Why (2-1) doesn't display the currency type and % in the above header though the column share the same unit or '%'?

However in case (2-3) it displays at the left when the row shares the same unit or '%'.

If scaling factor undefined, only row data (but not column data) can display the same unit or % in the left?

2. Is there anyway to display scaling factor in the header (above or left) but leave currency type remained in the cell? for case (1-1)

Thank you in advance.

Hi Chong - I am not sure I completely follow

On Question 2, if I set the scaling factor in the BEx query the scaling factor shows in the column header; as for showing the currency in the cell maybe try this: How to Display Unit/Currency as Separate column... | SCN

On question 1, I am curious as to what the key figure info object shows - could you go to transaction RSD1 in BW to show what the InfoObject shows?  You can use the camera icon to upload a screen shot

Dear Tammy,

Thanks again for your reply.

As for question 2, the URL you provided gave me some other options, though it would best if the unit/currency is still outputted together with the number figure, but not in another column.

As for question 1, I am puzzled about that the currency/unit can be outputted in the row header on the left when row shares the same currency/unit, while the currency/unit cannot be outputted in the column header above when column shares the same currency/unit. They don't follow the same rule.... (1-1), (2-1),(2-3)

I have got the following screen shots about InfoObject for you.
