Permission issue when connecting with IDT

When establishing a connection in IDT, users who belong to the admin group have no problem.  Users that are members of the Universe Designer Users group and not the admin group are able to connect, however no universe or connection folders appear.  Sometimes they appear for a second and then vanish...

The universe designer group has full access on the top level security for all connections, universes and the IDT application.  Any ideas?

I found the issue.  For some bizarre reason, the Universe Designer Users group needs to have View permission explicitly granted on Inboxes.... Go figure.
