Issues in Planning function

Hi

I have a planning function which is Class based . We have some performance issue in this class and i wanted to change the type of planning function from Class based to FOX based. I have used this Planning function in a WAD for a button.

I tried changing  it in dev and its not allowing me to change. I dont want to create a new planning function for this purpose.

Please help me in understanding hw can i achieve this

Hi Dhinesh,

it will not be possible to change the type of the function.

But you could delete the old one and create a new function with the same technical name.

Will that be a good approach to delete that Planning function and create a new one . Will there be any harm when we transport to Production Box?

Hi Dhinesh,

no it´s not the best idea, but the only one if you want to keep the same name.

It´s safer to create a totally new function and exchenge it in the template.

If that is not possible for you and the function is not used in any other place, other than web template, it should work.

the prevent transport issues, it´s probably wise, first to transport the delete, afterwards transport the creation.
