COPA Planning - Valuation Method

Hi,

I need assistance on the COPA Planning  - Valuation method.

I executed valuation method in KEPM & the message : Editing has been completed successfully.

But in detail log : No line item posted.

Please advise how this method work & how to view the outcome.

Hi,

Please consider fact that posting of data / line items in CO-PA planning is based on so called delta logic, which means that line items posted (as result of planning method execution) contain difference between existing data (already stored in data  base) and result of the planning method.

If result of the planning method is the same as data already posted, then difference is zero and no line items is posted.

So for example, if you execute the same method two times ( without any other change of relevant data), then for the second execution no line items is posted for sure ( because the same data/result is already posted in data base).

Please consider this fact, when you will start with further evaluation of the reported issue.
You can also check result of valuation with the help of valuation simulation (transaction KE21S).
