I want to add new field in sales order line item overview.

While creating return sales order,when i enter Item number,Material and Material quantily and enter----I want some additional field in all line item like- sales billing number,discount,free quantities, tax and expiry date.how can i configured it.

To add fields at Line item level i.e. the exact place you referred in snapshot, then it requires access key, Instead i suggest to choose 'Additional tabs' provided by SAP.

At 'Additional tab A/B', even you can place key fields Item/Material/Qty before your custom field.

Needs to implement Badi 'BADI_SLS_ITEM_SCR_CUS' for this requirement, pls refer to below link for implementation part:

Click on the Configuration, then Administrator, then you can see all these fields which can be available for this activity as per standard.

If you want any custom field, then you need to enhance it your self with help from ABAP.
