CWBQM Inspection Planning work bench-issue in selecting char. exclusively.

I am having issue in selecting a characteristic and do mass change in inspection plan groups.  But the system does bring all the characteristic of the selected plan groups.  Can someone help me to select only those characteristic that are entered in the selection criteria while selecting the plan for change.

It's not intuitive.

First, select your working area: Q_OPR_000000000010 - Operation, material-routing alloc., lock

Then put in your selection criteria.  In your particular case you probably want to enter the charateristic you want to work with.

When  you execute that you should get all your inspection plans loaded that contain that MIC.

Typically you would think you would then do a SELECT ALL or select the individual plans you want to work with.  NOPE!!  This is the step that hangs people up.

For what you want, you make sure you don't select any plans.  Just click on the inspection characteristic button in the Contex window.

This takes you to a screen where all the characteristics in all the plans are displayed.

If you scroll to the right, you should find a column containing the MIC name and another with MIC plant and version number.  Highlight ALL the columns you want to filter by.

Once highlighted, click on the FILTER button on the menu.  (the funnel icon).  It will cause a pop-up to show up with the highlighted columns on it where you can put in the specifc MIC values in.

When you click the green check and return to the characteristic screen it should be filtered.  You should have a singel list of the MIC or MIC's you filtered for in all the plans you originally selected.
