SAP Work Manager 6.2.1-Crew Management - Approve Timesheet entry

Hi All,

I am working on SAP Work Manager 6.2.1. As per Standard user guide document, Crew lead can approve timesheet entry for crew member but when I run standard application, I can not see any option to approve timesheet entry. Please let me know whether it is possible in standard SAP Work Manager or not. If yes how can I enable it. Thanks in Advance.

Crew Management Component

When Crew Management Component  add-on component is implemented

it adds the following functionality to the core Work Manager application:-

It allows supervisors and team leaders to manage their crew

• Add, remove, and select crew technicians
• Add, remove, and select vehicles
• Track vehicle usage through vehicle odometer readings
• Report, review, and approve time for crew

In the standard  Work Manager 6.2  product "Crew Management" functionalities are not enabled by default.  Please check WM 6.2 Product configuration guide to enable Crew Management component.

Look at  various deployment options available for WM 6.2

Hi Manju,

Thanks for your reply. I have already enabled and configured Crew Management component in WM6.2 and I am getting crew Management option in SAP Work manager main menu but when I go inside crew management menu, I can see crew lead can do timesheet entry on behalf of team members but I can not see any approve option. Please let me know how crew lead can approve timesheet entry.

Kaivan,

The crew management piece allows a lead to enter and review the time of their crew prior to submission.  It does not support a true approval process at this time.

I would think it could be extended to support approvals using the SDK tools.

Thanks Bill for your reply. I was also under same impression that customization would be required but wanted to confirm to reduce customization. Your answer has provided me complete clarity.
