GR in HU managed location without packing

Dear experts,

I'm learning WM and needs your help to clarify below points.

1. I learn from SAP liabary that HUM should be active at storage location level, can it be also managed at other lelve like warehouse number or storage type?

2. if we have a storage location have HUM actived but we didn't manage our raw and packing materials in HU, can we still do GR without packing in inbound delivery?

1) you assign a plant and storage location to warehouse and storage location is a highest level in Enterprise structure for WM hence if SLoc is HU managed then only Warehouse will be HU managed or in another word if you want your warehouse to be HU managed then make your SLoc HU managed

2) if the storage location is HU managed then packing is mandatory in Inbound delivery
