How to close a Schedule line release as complete

We are using LPA scheduling agreements with kanban (manually event).  The article ordered has a base unit of LB.  The kanban quantity is based on a nominal weight.  The vendor ships and bills at actual weight.

Each kanban requests triggers a SA release.

For example, we have two requests, each for 150 pounds of compound for a total of 300 pounds

Vendor ships 155 pound.  The inbound delivery will fill the kanban and post 155 into stock.  Per MRP, that now leaves us with a balance of 145 pounds.

Vendor ships 140 pound.  The inbould delivery fills the second kanban and post 140 pounds into stock.  Per MRP, now have 5 pounds open.

Question - how to close the 5 pounds?

Thanks,

Marcus Lowe

Hi,

Are you not expecting any more GRs/IBDs for this line item. ? Double click on line item in scheduling agreement and try to tick delivery completed indicator in GR/IR control tab. This should close the 5 qty in MD04.

Hello Vivek

We do expect additional deliveries.  The concern is that each schedule release would have partial receipts since the kanban request is in nominal weight and the delivery is in actual.

Thank you for the reply,

Hi,

Please read this note 493404 - FAQ: Scheduling agreements. Seems reducing delivery schedule quantity to match delivered quantity is your way out.
