Operational Data Provisioning (ODP) based on BW DataSource

Hi all,

we want to test ODP, but we have got the following problem:

If we want to create a new node in an own model we get the following error message after selecting a bw datasource:

"Software component cannot be edited here".

So we are not able to save a node which is based on a bw datasource. It doesn't work with standard or own datasources either.

Do you have any hints for us?

Did you manage to resolve this issue? I have the same error message when I try to create ODP based on BW data source.

Hi Theresa,

if I remember right it was necessary to assign a model to a certain package.

In my first attempts i used package $TMP. But with this local package it didn't work.

After assigning a model to a real package I was able to create own nodes.
