Change in PO Release Strategy

Hi All,

Oue client had earlier set a rel strategy for PO which has been changed with yhe new one. If we have some PO which were not released and were under old strategy. If i want new rel. strategy to be applied to them what do i need to do?

It doesn't depends on old or new release strategies.infact it always depends on the characteristics, if your PO satisfies the condition specfied in a release strategy(i.e it is in line with characteristics defined) then it will ask for the new release strategies.

for example: Old release strategy: characteristics were:

1)Doc type- (allowed values X,Y and Z) 2) PO value( <=10000 USD) 3)Pur org(values as ABC)

now you have created a PO with doc type X, value as 5000 USD and Pur org as ABC then it will pick mentioned release strategy.

New Release stategy: characteristics are:

1)Doc type- (allowed values X,Y and Z) 2) PO value( <=10000 USD) 3)Pur org(values as ABC) and 4) Pur Grp

Now as one more characteristics is added here system will look for a PO which satisfies all the 4 conditions and then only it will tigger the new release strategy.

so you can go to tcode CL24N and check what characteristics are there in your new release strategy.

Hi

Try this.

Go to chage mode of PO.

Change value or quantity to the extent of beyond the release strategy, click on "check" and observe change of new release strategy. Save and again go back to change PO and put back the original value or quantity.

Do this and furnish feedback.
