Is it possible to build and export SCA in a lower version

Hi All,

I have built a BPM in NWDS 7.31  SP11 which is on Compiler version: 4.7 . My SAP PO system is a 7.4 SP8  which is on runtime version 4.6 .

I exported the SCA file and tried to deploy the it in the "Deploy" perspective , I get the expected -

java.io.IOException: Could not instantiate network DA9D141412328479689D7B679549F6BA/TechnicalError.

The given process model was built with a NWDS or development track of a higher version than the target runtime. Revision number of built process model: 4.7. Revision number of process runtime: 4.6. Please refer to SAP note 1600131 for details.

Is it possible for me to manually "select" a lower version (say 4.6) in NWDS so that the SCA is compatible with the Java runtime system ?  I am not using NWDI , all development is local .

no way.

don't play hard with yourself

use the correct version of nwds to do the job.

are you sure your PO is sp8? and the nwds is sp11?

Release 7.31 SP12 / 7.40 SP7
Compiler version: 4.6
Runtime version: 4.6

Release 7.31 SP14 / 7.40 SP9
Compiler version: 4.7
Runtime version: 4.7

NWDS - Help - About NWDS gives me  "SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 SP11 PAT0001"

PO Homepage - NWA - System Info

SAP_XIAF = 1000.7.40.8.4.20141112020700

ESR - Help values -

Service Pack: 08

Release:  NW731EXT_13_REL

PO Homepage - Administration - Repository values -

Make Release NW731EXT_13_REL

SP Stack Number 08

This would indicate SP level 08 for PO and  SP11 for NWDS , correct ?

i don't have 7.4 system.

why some places show it is 7.31 sp13?

i think you system is 7.31 sp13, which has runtime version 4.6 for bpm.

in the nwa/sysinfo page, all the component shows 7.4? or only the sap_xiaf?

nwa/sysinfo - all the components show 1000.7.40.8.X.XXXXXXXXXXXXXX . Its definitely a PO 7.4 system . We have the PO licensing .

Thanks for your help. I rebuilt using another NWDS installation and it deployed without complaints this time.
