IPC CRM Java routines development

I am a pure Java developer and now planning to work on IPC Java pricing routines. I am aware of Pricing procedure on a high level.

Can someone please let me know the architecture or flow...I mean at what point the Java routine in CRM is triggered.

And also, I see there are many IPC related pricing APIs (ValueFormulaAdapter, etc)....can some one tell me where can I get complete info of the methods (overwriteConditionValue, etc) these standard classes have, what value do the parameter like IPricingItemUserExit, etc hold..
