Error in Delta extraction from NGL data source 0FI_GL_10

Hello Experts,

Delta load for the datasource 0FI_GL_10 is failing with the following error.

Diagnosis

An error occurred in the source system.

System Response

Caller 09 contains an error message.

Further analysis:

The error occurred in Extractor .

Refer to the error message.

On checking the job in the source system , it has terminated due to the dump " ABAP Programming Error" . The short text from the dump says "Exception condition "INTERNAL_ERROR" triggered".

On further analysis of the program, i learnt that this exception is being raised as the database connection is not initial and open cursor withhold is not initial.

Though this issue has been discussed in many threads, nowhere is an appropriate solution provided.If anyone faced and solved the issue before, can you kindly share the solution ?

I followed the steps while extracting:

1. Appended a Z field to the datasource.

2. Replicate the datasource towards BI.

3. Ran an Init with data transfer ( Read in one of the forums that Init without data transfer is not supported for NGL datasources ). This went fine.

4. Ran a delta .( This is failing with the above mentioned error ).

Is there something that I miss here ? Please share your views.

I could solve the delta issue of the NGL extractors 0FI_GL_10 and 3FI_GL_XX_TT with the application of the following note :

Note 2009904:Delta-Extraction with 0FI_GL_10 dumps with runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION.

Thanks alot for your response.

I have tried to run it in RSA3 with update mode 'F'( no authorization to change the update mode to 'd' ).The extractor works fine.

I did not check if the delta would run fine before appending.

After the init I waited a complete day before I ran the delta.

Yes the replication went on fine and datasource is activated.

I did try to repeat the delta, however it failed again with the same error.

I found the following note and probably this might solve my issue (though not very sure ,but worth a try).

Note 2009904:Delta-Extraction with 0FI_GL_10 dumps with runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION.

Have anyone applied this note to get the problem fixed ?

Hi,

Have you tried to run data source at RSA3 source side?

Before appending a structure, is your delta load went fine?

After the init, how much time gap you gave to run delta info pack?

After the replication, have you activated data source properly?

Can you replicate data source into bw and activate it.

From PSA, you can make your failed request technical status red and trigger delta info pack.

it may ask for repeat delta, yes and continue.
