We installed “SAP MaxDB Studio” on SLES 11 SP3 (x86_64).
The following packaged are installed:
LINUX: SLES 11 SP3 (x86_64)
Java : IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 Linux amd64-64 jvmxa6460sr14-20130704_155156 (JIT enabled, AOT enabled)
wxGTK version 2.8.8.1-1.36
glibc : 2.11.3-17.54.1
DB Studio: maxdb-studio-desktop-linux-64bit-x86_64-7_9_08_32
I added the following two lines in ‘dbstudio.ini’:
-vm
/usr/lib64/jvm/jre-1.6.0-ibm/bin
When I start ‘dbstudio’ a JAVA GUI is started but I see no text only rubbish and the following messages are displayed:
(.:10339): Pango-WARNING **: failed to choose a font, expect ugly output. engine-type='PangoRe
ua0b1o6@lsar7990:~> dbstudio
(.:27358): Pango-WARNING **: failed to choose a font, expect ugly output. engine-type='PangoRenderFc', script='latin'
Can somebody tell me which fonts we are missing and how to install the missing fonts?
Kind Regards,
John
Hi John,
Did you know that database studio can be used in a local pc, windows? If it takes time to solve
this issue, you may install a windows version to as a workaround to wait for the issue solved.
Best regards,
James
