Java wont start after Abap upgrade to EHP7

Good day all

Our Java wont start after we upgraded the Abap stack to EHP7. We restarted the Server and Java will not start.

The ICM stops with this error:

Supply the trace files from the D:\usr\sap\EPJ\SCS<NN> directory.

Check if the Message Server is running.

Also check the other trace files from the D:\usr\sap\EPJ\J01\work directory.

Did you get a fix from SAP? After updating hardware, we are also facing same issue. not able to start jstart.exe.

No this note is not applicable, we DO NOT have a dual stack ..

Our Java version is on 7.30 EHP1 ..

SAP Note 2064179 - One of the two AS Java servers cannot start on a single host due to ICM error

This Note fits the error logs of ICM

Can you elaborate that you have two systems with the same SID.(one for java and another for ABAP)

Hi Peet,

Is your system a dual stack and also confirm if you have upgraded both ABAP & JAVA or did you performed a dual stack split.

Also can you check if your system type is defined in the instance profile.

Dual stack: The instance contains Application Server ABAP (AS ABAP) and Application Server Java (AS Java). system/type = DS

Refer below link for more reference.

icm/server_port_&amp;lt;xx&amp;gt; - ICM Administration - SAP Library

and try to set it to dual stack if the upgrade has completed.

Let us know the further details.

No the systems are two differant stacks one Abap and one Java. Only the Abap stack has been upgraded ..
