Hi Fatima,

Make sure if you had installed EPM client . To check whether it is installed or not you will see "EPM" & "Data Manager" 2 Extra tabs in your excel like below screen

After that you need to click on "Logon" which is at the beginning & There you need to create a new connection adding your URL link as below screen

Click on the yellow marked area

After clicking connect enter your credentials (BPC User ID & Password).

After this step you will find your "Environments" & "Models" in the Drop down box which is located below "Connect".

Note:- Make sure if your model has any "Secure Dimensions" then your user must have "Data Access Profile" to that particular Dimension then only you can see that model here .

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Aravind,

Thank you for you help but EPM addin is well installed , the problem is when we connect from the web http://192.168.1.5:9912/sap/bpc/web

it took the default client which is the ERP one  not the BW one , if i want to connect in the BW one i should do this URL( specify the client)   http://192.168.1.5:9912/sap/bpc/web?re=1&sap-client=100

so when i want to connet from excel it took automatically the client by default whis the ERO one .

Hi Fatima,

If you want to change the client permanently please contact your "BASIS Team"  They have to change this in the back end.

Kindly logon into your required client(100) & Goto T-code "SICF" & then Execute the "Services" (Click F8 in keyboard) . There you should configure your required path "sap\bpc\web" . This job has to be done by your Basis Team kindly request them to do so.....

Thanks & Regards

Aravind

If the EPM is installed correctly, make sure to give yourself the required security rights (task, data access) in the BPC admin (from web).

Then, to access your BPC model from excel, make sure to use the same URL as the web (which is working), but without the "/web" at the end.

If all this is ok, please share the error message. You can also have a look in SLG1 to check on errors.

Hello.

It looks like you did not install the EPM Client.

Please install the EPM client. Check with your Basis team or you can also download from www.service.sap.com ( search for  "Excel EPM ").

Setting the client is secondary. Once the EPM Add in installed you can access any client.

In case if any issue in installation. Follow the below help.

Hope this helps. Thank you
