Hi together,
is it anyhow possible to set the login timout to a higher value?
Due to a more restrictive login policy some users aren't able to type in all characters in the given time.
It also seems that the timeout occours even the user is about to type in the password. Does it make sense? A timout during no key pressing makes more sense to me...
Best regards,
Robert
Hi robert,
Please check the configuration path below for timeout parameter for CDT.
in SC under System Management-> authentication policy- Session policy block- Increase the value on the paremente We Client Session Idle Timeout-

Hi Swatantra,
that is actually session timeout (logged in -> if no activity), please see app. help / Defining Password and Session Policies.
@Robert, "some users aren't able to type in all characters in the given time" - with SSO logins no need to type passwords, would that be an option?

Hi Emilio,
unfortunately there is no kind of hotfix or something else planned.
From SAP point of view it is a securtity feature.

Hi
With newer versions, you could actually try:
Add the following parameter in the registry for (each) connection server:
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Wicom\[VU_of_CoS]\bcmcs]
"ClientHandshakeTimeout"="30"
Instead of 30, define your preferred value in seconds, and reset CoS.
If the workaround works, please consider it temporary (may or may not work in future releases).
Hi Lasse,
I asked SAP directly and it seems that there is no parameter that could be set in SC.
I've made a feature request. Hopefully it will be available in one of the next releases.
BR,
Robert
