Afaria on cloud

Hello Friends,

We are thinking of using afaria on cloud for a customer.it looks like there are two options afaria on AWS or use Mobile secure.

what is the usecase of using afaria on AWS or Mobile secure.

Hi Kaushik,

I would just like to add couple information here to address your question.

We started offering Afaria cloud solution on AWS at the beginning and then we moved our solution from AWS to Hana Enterprise Cloud. Currently the name of the solution is SAP Mobile Secure which is an enterprise mobile Management solution that integrates Mobile Device Management through Afaria, Mobile Content Management through SAP Mobile Docs and Mobile Application Management by Mocana.

Mobile App Management and Mobile content management components are optional so you can opt into get these two in addition to Afaria (Mobile device management).

At the high level the solution offers below:

SAP Mobile Secure Portal - An administrative Portal

Mobile Place - An enterprise app store, also known as an end user portal

Mobile Device Management

Mobile Content Management

Mobile Application Management

Dear Kaushik,

Afaria Cloud or Mobile Secure is now on HEC(HANA Enterprise Cloud) and is the newest version. You can take a look at this document https://help.sap.com/mobilesecure to know more about Mobile Secure.

Hi Kaushik,

SAP Mobile Secure supports MDM, MAM, Mobile Documents, Services etc... as shown below. Depending on your customer needs you can select your option either on Cloud or On-premise.

Afaria only comes with MDM and Enterprise App Store.
