Enhance PMEVC Variant Table editing

Hi All,

are there any exits which can be used to enhance the variant table editing in PMEVC? For example create custom F4 helps on the characteristic values etc.

Any experience on this?

Hi Tamas,

maybe this will help. There are some different types to maintain values from a characteristic.

One way is using a function module to determine possible values from a characteristic. Take a look at help.sap.com. In my opinion this should affect F4-help in PMEVC, too.

By the way, there is a Enterprise Business Function PLM_PMEVC_1 to enhance PMEVC. This is not helpfull in your case, but it provides some other useful tools.

thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately the FM will not work I think as we are using object dependencies (constraints) - see the remark at the end of the help.sap.com link you posted. The other reason why it cannot be used is that the characteristics are already used in classes, dependencies etc. so the other value check cannot be modified for them. To remove the characteristics from all where-used objects is not an option for us.

The business function is already active.
