During Course follow up , I am not getting Course names in the screen though there are many courses available in backend R/3.

Did you ever find a solution for this? We are having the exact same problem and have not found a fix yet. It works in the back-end but in the portal we are having the same issue.

We didn't find a solution for it as in my team there's no UI5 expert. We went for Webdynpro based ESS only to finish our project.

Are the courses firmly booked? I think this is a prerequisite in order to be able to follow up.

No it's not firmly booked. Do the employee has to firmly book in portal itself or  if it is done from R/3 it will work?

Am not sure about whether this is possible through portal (as I haven't worked on this), but it can be done through R3 using tcode PSv2.Right click on the business event and Firmly book.
