Hi Experts,

I am facing issue with technical monitoring setup.

setup monitoring phase.

I am not getting the installed product and templates are not displayed.

Please find attached snapshot.

Managed system step has been Done.

issue is i am not able to find the installed product for managed object.

can you refer the snapshot which i have attached.

Hello Bhargav,

Can you please check following steps

a. Navigate to Solman_Setup -> Technical Monitoring -> System Monitoring

-> Template Maintenance step.

b. Select the template you are planning to assign to the managed object.

c. Select Notifications tab.

d. Select the option Inactive for "Auto-Notifications".

e. Select Alerts tab.

f. Select the Alert related to the Category.

g. Select Notifications tab on Alert Details table.

h. Make the Auto-Notification active. Add the required recipient/recipient list IDs.

h. Click on save button.

i. On the Define Scope step, select the managed object required and navigate to Setup Monitoring step.

j. Assign and apply the template to the Managed Object.

Hi Anand,

I did the steps suggested but still the same issue.

I am facing below error

"table does not contain any data"

Don't know why system data and even templates are not reflected here.?

What type of system are you trying to configure monitoring for?

When you have no templates to select via a drop down it is typically due to bad landscape data in your LMDB; is this system passing the landscape verification tests?

I am configuring ECC system

And Landscape verification is successful in LMDB

For ECC what version and Ehp are you currently on?  Also what component version is SAP_BASIS on the ECC system?

Hi Billy,

Managed system is ECC 6.0 EHP 7.

SAP_BASIS - 740 SP 6

and solution manager 7.1 SP 10

What ECC/ABAP template did you happen to use when you are on your template page?

Hi,

Sorry for late response.

We have created custom templates for this.

It is a copy of SAP ABAP 7.1 and higher.

Can you post a screenshot of the landscape components from the LMDB?  It seems like something isn't flagged for the templates to be associated to in SolMan.

Ahhh you still have a logical component and a diag flag for components that are not relevant to your system.  Ehp7 doesn't leverage NW 7.02, SolMan is confused and explains why your template can't be applied.

I suggest you mass select all the entries and remove the diag flag first, then apply in mass for the diag flag.  The 7.02 entry should remove itself as soon as the diag flag is gone.
