Hi Expert,
My SAP instance cannot start up after replace the kernel to 742 lvl 200.
The SAP Note 2168574 should be the solutions.
However, new error occur as below after I have done the solution 1 from this note.
Solution 1
Update the SSFS connection data so that it points to your HANA database. Execute the following command as <sid>adm user: rsecssfx put DB_CONNECT/<hostname>:3<Instance #>15 -plain

R3trans -d also reply the same error from trans.log.
I have replace r3load ,tp and so on with the latest level. But, still the same.

Hi AKJ, My SAP system is ERP6.0 EHP7 and SAP NW is SAPKB74008 - SPS 8. HANA DB version is 82. No error if use back the old kernel which is 742 lvl 28. But, I need to upgrade the kernel to the latest(prerequisite) for add on installation. Please advise if you have any idea. Thank you. Regards, Por.
Hi Joo,
You need to upgrade your HDB to SAP recommended level, you can do this in sandox environment before moving to other environment.
Please also check this
2178917 - SAP Support Package Stack Kernel 7.42 Patch Level 200
I hope SAP also suggest the same solution.

Hi Soon Joo Por,
This sounds like a switch from hdbuserstore to SSFS due to the upgrade (no clue why this would be forced...).
It should be clear on your trans.log file (result of R3trans -d) if you're using hdbuserstore or SSFS. If you're using the later and previously used hdbuserstore you can, for the moment, deactivate it's usage with step 2 of 2168574.
I understand SSFS is now a best practice so it might be important to configure it properly.
