Maker Checker for GL account creation and modification

Hello All,

I would like to know the mechanism in SAP through which maker checker concept can be initaited for the GL creation and modification process. One person who is creating/modifying GL account should not be able to Approve the same, another person should authenticate that change.

Hi,

It’s not possible in standard SAP. For vendor/customer MD there is dual control functionality but not for GL accounts. All changes in FS00 are effective immediately.

If you are bothered by improper GL account “makers” then I recommend to use program RFSABL00 (aka t-codes S_ALR_87009845, S_ALR_87009846, S_ALR_87012307, S_ALR_87012308) and daily monitor all changes.  It may be scheduled automatically in background and results could send to those who you call “checker”.
