BEX reports retrieves no results

Hello Gurus we have implemented several notes in BW Development environment  to fix the cache issue. Now, none of my BEx reports retrieves the results. It seems like it’s running and results area are updating but the results are just disappearing from file. we are running BW 7.01 SP12 While reviewing notes, none of them seems that have caused this issue directly. Have any of you seen/heard this kind of issues anywhere ? Any suggestions ? recommendations ? Thanks in advance for your help. regards., Sridhar

Do you have BIA indexes built for the reporting cubes?

Hi Sridhar,

Have you tried the suggestion mentioned by Raman, try to login with your credentials in your colleagues machine and see if you can access the BEx query. Also ask your colleagues to logon into your machine with their credentials and see if they can access query. This way you can confirm that issue is with frond end tool/patch not with the reports.

Once you confirm that issue is with front end tool/paches apply the relevant patch from

Take the help of Basis and restart the Java Server.

Hi We can access the BEx Queries and retrieve the results. It seems like it’s running and results area are updating but the results are just disappearing from file. nothing shows up on the report. I don't believe it is frontend issue, we tried with SAP Gui 740 patch 2. Please suggest. regards, Sridhar

What do you mean by disappearing from file. Are you sending data from report into file? Can you clarify on this.

Hi Sridhar,

Can you try to run report from RSRT and see.

Try to re-generate report thru RSRT and after that you can try to report from designer/analyzer.

There might be some front end tools issue.

if possible try to update your front end tools/latest patches.

take basis team help .

Mean while try to run same report on other machine with your id and colleges id.

if it gives same error then check about latest gui patch updates.
