Crystal report 2013's Compability with Oracle 8i database

Hi SAP experts,  i am wondering if the newest version of Crystal report and crystal server (2013) are capable with Oracle 8i?

I have checked the PAMs for both CR 2008 , 2013 and they do not have Oracle 8i listed in supported databases.

Hi,

8i is almost as old as my kids but 2008 and 2013 should still be able to connect to it as long as you have the proper version of SQL*NET installed and the correct ODBC driver. 

I remember SQL*NET wasn't the easiest database client to install at the time.

Hi,

Although the PAM states otherwise, I have seen CR support databases/drivers that haven't been listed.

Have you given it a try?
