Hello,
I'm currently having an interesting discrepancy in data in one of my reports in the BEx analyzer. If I go to properties and "Show results rows" on a characteristic I get 312M. If I use the excel function =sum I get 314M for the exact same key figure. What method does the BEx analyzer use to displays totals? Is it totaling a value that is not currently displayed in the report?

Hi,
Please check if any active conditions are used in your report. Condition doesn't apply/ show affect on the total result.
Toggle the condition and remove zero suppression in the report then try comparing the results in excel and BW. Both should match.

Hi,
If you wanted to have a 314M total, click your keyfigure and under AGGREGATION tab select TOTAL or SUM and choose your reference characteristic..It should show you 314M if its really its TOTAL value..
Else, post here your query designer and sample report layout..
Regards,
Loed
