CO element does not exist in chart of account XXXX

Dear All,

We have created new plant and did all the related configurtion for that, but when we are creating billing document we are getting "Cost Element does not exist in chart of Account XXXX:. We are able to process this without any error when we do same senario using different plant.

We have configured the automatic excise invoice creation at the time of sale invoice creation.

GL which is being used is Balance sheet GL for which cost element cant be created

Please suggest the corrective measeures to be taken to solve this issue

Kindly advise on this we are facing this issue only when we use JEXP Excise condition, other then that normal scenario is ok.

Are you using Indian specific solution of J1IIN/J1IH?

If so, note 1601703 should resolve your issue.

We are using following steps for billing.

1. VA21  - QUATATION
2. VA01  - SALES ORDER
3. VL01N - DELIVERY
4. VF01 - FOR INVOICING

At the time of invoicing we are getting the above mentioned error.

For balance sheet GL we cannot define cost element.

Please note this issue persist only when we use new plant

Are you using group chart of Accounts ? Sales GL created as revenue element ?

Yes we are using group chart of account and the Sales GL is already defined as revenue element.
