MICR Font purchase and installation

Hello,

I work for a hotel and they use the SAP accounting program. I am assisting the Accounting department with acquiring MICR fonts to print checks. 

I have already purchased and installed  a specific toner cartridge for the printer that will be printing the checks from.

Would someone be able to inform me about the purchase and installation methods of this specific font? Is it native the SAP accounting software?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

afaik, MICR fonts are typically used with check printing.

What you need is an SAP device type which supports your printer and the MICR fonts in your printer.

In SAP, MICR fonts are predefined in SAPscript/Smart Forms as font families MICR_E and MICR_C.

What you need is a device type which matches your printer with the MICR add-on.

Please check out SAP note 94233 and possibly other notes that 94233 is referencing.
