BEx - BW and Office 2013 32Bits

Hi there,

Someone already ru bex with office 2013 (x86 of course) ?

Because on my side I have a problem with BEx and Office 2013.

The problem is, when I open a query from SAP, SAP open Excel correctly but empty, and I have an error on SAP :

"please install excel as a viewer".

My Office 2013 version : 15.0.472.1000

My SAP Version :GUI 7.300.3.14.145

Version 1588926

SP 14

Dear Gregory

You said that you open query from sap, what that means? You start bex analyzer from sapgui with rrmx?

Just tell me if you can run the analyzer program and you are able to execute a query.

Hi,

Sorry If I was using bad words, I'm not a SAP expert.

Here is my steep :

1) I open Sap Logon 7.4

2) I open a connection to my BW server

3) After credentials, I can see the user query

4) I execte a query. SapLogon says thaht is starting Business Explorer Analyzer, Excel 2013 opens, but I gen the erro "please install excel as a viewer" in the SAP window. Excel is smpty, no sheet open.

--> Same steeps on Office 2010 works of course. Excel open the result of the query.

An idea ?

ok then try a different way and go to your windows start menu and find Analyzer program and execute it. In Excel find the add-ins tab and try the open - query icon.

Analyzer is starting fine into Excel 2013. I see the BEx Analyzer addin

Now if I try to open a query from the addin, after the credentials i get a new error :

An error occurred while communicating with the BI server.

I guess this is not good for me

I'm using Bex for the last 4 months with Excel 2013 without any issue.

Basically, try to install the latest patches.

According to the documentation : YES it's supported in my case.

So why I get this error "BRAIN871" on all my computers running Office 2013 ?
