e-Recruiting Authorizations

Hi everybody,

We are trying to implement e-Recruiting in a separated environment from SAP HCM.

The reason for choosing SAP e-Recruiting at this point and not any other SAP solution is because of the well-known SAP flexibility which as far as we know Success Factor does not have.

One of the bigger issues we are facing is about e-Recruiting Authorizations and the SAP provided e-Recruiting profiles.

For instance, our definition of Manager should be able to CREATE Requisitions and maintain them during the lifetime of this requisition but should not be able to maintain assignments or even display the Candidates assigned to the Requisition.

As you can see this "Customer" definition of Manager does not fit with the e-Recruiting definition of Manager (as they would lost the control over the requisition once it is transferred to the Recruiter and on the same hand, e-Recruiting Managers can check/display the Candidate profiles) either with the e-Recruiting definition of Recruiter (as they would have the possibility to "propose" a Candidate for a specific requisition an activity NOT allowed for the "Customer" definition of Manager).

I have checked some documentation and checked with some e-Rec experts and they always suggest to stick to the SAP provided profiles but the customer does not want this solution.

Can the SAP provided profiles being splitted in a way as the one described on my previous paragraphs?

Any help?

Thank you very much in advance,

Hi,

what does it mean "maintain them during the lifetime of this requisition" in detail?

Try to answer this question please and keep in mind the data model (dependencies). One example: your managers should be able to close the requisition, the prerequisites to do so are that all postings and the candidates application are rejected.

Technically, there are 2 options for the manager. The standard requisition monitor or a custom version of the recruiter dashboard. Both may have to be enhanced so that it fulfills your requirements.

Good luck.

Hi Frank,

Thank you very much for your reply!

Yes, We did already consider the fact that all the open aplications/candidacies must be rejected before being able to close the requisition.

The "Customer" manager should not be able to interact or even see who is being proposed or under treatment for a requisition.

Did I understand correctly your proposal of modifying the recruiter dashboard: removing all the activities that this Customer manager should not be able to perform?

Is there any other way for achieving so? Such as creating new customer profiles and restricting authorizations over the different objects. (For instance not giving access to the NA object to a specific set of Recruiter Profile).

Thank you very much for your help!

Kindest regards,
