TDMS for extracting data from 2 company codes

Dear All,

I have a customer requirement.

Customer has multiple company codes. They would now like to extract data for only 2 company codes and build a new landscape for these 2 company codes.

My question, Is it possible to extract data of only 2 company codes using TDMS (in a single execution)?

When we use TDMS for company codes, can we select more then one company code?

1. Our proposal is to first create a shell system from the source - DEV

2. Then perform a client copy from 000 to development client 100 - DEV

     2.a.  Take golden backup of this DEV system to build future systems

3. Perform TDMS copy / import of 2 company codes - DEV

4. perform a system copy from DEV to QAS - QAS

5. Perform system copy from golden backup to create Production system.

Could someone suggest if this approach is fine?

Hi Prateek, take into account that TDMS is not supported to create productive systems (I am not sure if system copy from a system created with tdms is the same case).

I has the chnnce to work in a project to copy one company code to a QAS system. We used an aproche like you proposed, but we has to do the copy 3 times, mainly for the business model and business data that the customer has. We do the first TDMS copy, then the customer validate the system and there was a lot of things missings, SAPOFFICE for example (TDMS does not copy those tables).

My recomendation is to do a first copy, ask the customer to validate the system and then do a second copy with the customer feedback.
