Hello Aditya,

Fresh installation is always faster than upgrade. You can do that in some hours (of course, after the installation, you still need to configure the system).

You must use Software Provisioning Manager tool to perform the installation. Make sure you downloaded the latest version, as described in SAP note:

1680045 - Release Note for Software Provisioning Manager 1.0

For your reference during the installation, download and use the installation guide:

http://www.service.sap.com/sltoolset ->

Software Logistic Toolset 1.0 ->

[Scroll down the page] System Provisioning ->

Installation: Systems Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.1 and Higher

Regarding the medias, I always like to get the latest medias by going to the SAP Marketplace. As you want to install the SAP ERP 6.07, you can get all medias under:

http://support.sap.com/swdc

Installation and Upgrade ->

Browse our Download Catalog ->

SAP Application Components ->

SAP ERP ->

SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE ->

EHP7 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 ->

Under Installation and Upgrade -> Oracle Database you can find the installation export medias:

51048902_1 - SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 SR2 Installation Export I 1/2

51048902_2 - SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 SR2 Installation Export I 2/2

51048902_3 - SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 SR2 Installation Export II

Therefore, the document you are referring to is correct.

Additionally, under SAP NETWEAVER 7.4 -> Installation and Upgrade -> AIX -> ORACLE Database you can find all other medias:

RDBMS:

51047695_1 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 1/8

51047695_2 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 2/8

51047695_3 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 3/8

51047695_4 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 4/8

51047695_5 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 5/8

51047695_6 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 6/8

51047695_7 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 7/8

51047695_8 - Oracle 11.2.0.4 RDBMS AIX 64bit 8/8

Oracle Client:

51049326 - ORACLE Client 11.2.0.4 V3

Please, note that since you want to install a SAP ERP 6.07, the installation export media for SAP NetWeaver 7.4 (51048524_1) is not required. It should be only used if you are going to install a pure SAP NetWeaver 7.4, which is not the case.

Regarding the kernel media, I always recommend taking it from the following path, in order to guarantee that you are going to download the latest version of the SAP Kernel media:

http://www.service.sap.com/sltoolset ->

Software Logistic Toolset 1.0 ->

System Provisioning ->

download Kernel releases delivered for SL Toolset ->

Kernel for installation/SWPM ->

SAP KERNEL 7.42 64-BIT UNICODE ->

Installation ->

AIX

Since your system is based on SAP NetWeaver 7.4, you must download the latest version of SAP Kernel media 7.42:

51049724_1 - SAP DC Kernel 7.42 PL101 AIX 64bi

These are the medias you should use to run this fresh installation.

Hi Henrique,

Thanks for taking pain to explain so beautifully.

I have already installed the EHP7 for ERP6.0 using media files as suggested by you and i could see Central component has been installed at EHP7 Level .However i can see many of the component are still at Release 600 level only (eg : SAP_HR* , EA_HR*,FINBASIS,IS-OIL...many others).Should i upgrade these components to EHP7 level separately using SUM?

Thanks
