In IW39 Long text exist key is updating even there is no long text in Header.

Hi Expert,

We are creating preventive maintenance order via IP30. In IW39 when we checked the orders, there is a indicator which shows that the long text is exist in respective language. But there is no long text maintained in work order header. Need to understand from where this key is updating in IW39.

This key is linked to the Longtext of the respective Maintenance Item of the Plan. Examine what is there in Longtext there.

Hi

As said by Mr. Jogeswara, the Work order header long text comes from the Maintenance Item long text.

In your case, you can see long text indicator in IW39 but you cannot see long text in the work order header. May be the long text is deleted.

Open Long text in work order header, click on GOTO - Change editor, if you find '*' mark in the first line that means some thing was existing which is deleted.

You can try removing the empty line here.

I got the solution..

The key is coming because I have updated long text in maintenance item in French language and was running IP30 in english language. So that was the reason the key is updated in IW39 as a "E" but when we goto that order header the long text the text was not there.
