Error sapinst unable to install database software

Hi Experts!

My scenario is AIX 7.1 with Sybase 15.6

When running SAPinst is giving the following error SAP NW 7.40

Unable to install database software

Someone went through this error?

Hello Leandro,

Please check execute permission to setup file in Sybase folder.

Check the sap notes: 1701787 & 1824510.

If you paste the error log file sapinst_dev.log would give us more information about the error.

Check the permission for the directory for the file which the database going to placed and the file-system as well.

Can you paste the sapinst_dev.log here and also any specific error your seeing the sapinst.log.
