ECC 6 EHP7 Install Complete - No ERP Schema in HANA

Former Member

Hi,

A colleague and I were able to successfully install the Database and Application servers for ECC 6.0 EHP 7.  We are able to log into the Application Successfully but are unable to access the vast majority of Tables or Transactions -- 'Transaction VA01 does not exist' but I can run SE16 but entering a table yields 'Table EKKO is not in the Dictionary'.  Not good.

After some research we were guided to do several post-implementation activities:

  1. Execute TCode STC01 and run SAP_BASIS_SETUP_INITIAL_CONFIG
  2. Check Database connection via TCode DBACOCKPIT

Then we noticed that there is a recommendation to log into the HANA database and Activate the ERP Schema -- this is where we found out that Schema doesn't exist.

Question is -- is there a way to install the ERP Schema in the HANA database without having to do the complete re-installation of the Application and Database?

Regards,

Brian

Hello Brian,

Database schema is something that is automatically created as a part of SAP system installation on any database.

You can check the schema in use under System --> Status --> Database data --> Owner

You can verify the same in HANA Studio under Catalog folder (The logging in user would require CATALOG READ privilege to display this info)

The schema created in SAP HANA is usually of the nomenclature SAP<SID>.

Hope this helps.

Thanks & Best Regards,
