Generating multiple instances in BOCMC (Crystal Reports 2008, CA Clarity)

Hi All,

I am running Crystal Report instance from CA Clarity PPM tool.

It is timed out after 5 minutes. As report query is taking long time to run.

I observed a strange behavior of BOCMC, where after 5 minutes another instances of same report were getting generated.

Could you please provide some information.

That is definitely a function of how Clarity has implemented the SDK.  If the report is taking that long to run, you'll need to schedule it in Clarity instead of trying to view it.  When you make a view request, Clarity actually schedules the report and then will display the completed instance, unless it's not complete within a period of time, in which case it will schedule it to run.

Thank you for the information Dell.

Could you please share the information if after some time it is rescheduling the report if it is taking more time to run.

Where exactly I can see the settings, and do some changes so that it will not trigger.

It's been several years since I worked in Clarity, so I'm not sure.  You'll have to contact CA support to get that information.

You will have to ask Clarity as only they know how they implemented the CR part in their app.
