Hi Expert,

when i am creating service Product in Dev system i am Not Getting Item Category Group Fields ??????????

Please Provide the solutions.

Sales and Distribution-Sales-Sales Documents-Define Item Category Groups- Path in SAP ECC

Ensure that you maintain the same item category in SAP CRM as well.

CRM-Transactions-Basic Settings-Define Item Category Group

Hi Atul,

Actually My question is when i am creating service Product in crm Development system that time i am not getting the item Category group Field

so please suggest me How to solve this one ??????

Hello Biswajit,

Which Service Product are you creating in SAP CRM Service? Is it the product Investigation?

Cab you please add the customization in SAP CRM for the item category group field as per my last post where I have mentioned the customization steps.

Hi Atul,

For Better Understanding please see the Following step.........

However my actual requirement is to get the field ‘Item Category Group’ and other fields as shown with IDES system, when Service material is being created.

Steps to be followed

  1. 1. In CRM DEV , Go to transaction COMMPR01
  2. 2. Click on Service Create button
  3. 3. Select any Category for ex: SRV_ARCR
  4. 4. Press button ‘Continue’.

     5. Select tab Service

     6. Note that there is no field called ‘Item Category Group’ and other required fields.


     7. In CRM IDES 800, Go to transaction COMMPR01

     8. Click on Service Create button

     9. Select any Category for ex: SRV_UBB1

     10. Press button ‘Continue’.

       11. Select tab Service

        12   Note that there is a field called ‘Item Category Group’ and other required fields.

Though I need more fields, for time being let us concentrate only on ‘Item Category Group’.

Please let me know if you need more details.

Hello Biswajit,

Are you trying to create a standalone Service Product or you are trying to replicate the Service Product created in SAP ECC to SAP CRM.

If you are trying to replicate this item then check in SAP ECC if you have maintained the item category group field in SAP ECC.

You need to go to Sales Org 2 view where the item category group field is maintained. Check the below screen shot
