EXIT modules are no longer supported

Hello,

I know why this error is generally when creating a Function Group/Module, but when you are using your own namespace, why would this error display?

I am trying to create a Function Group /namespace/XX_MPX. If it has something to do with the XX, it shouldn't trigger the error if it is our namespace, right?

Regards, Dean.

AFAIK function group starting with X or /namespace/X were reserved for customer exit function groups. (Object R3TR FUGS and not R3TR FUGR, 16466 - Customer name range for SAP objects)

Raymond

Hello Raymond,

So, even though not supported, the SAP kernel will not allow usage of this naming for non-exit module development?

Hmmm.

We can no longer create new ones. But the internal logic that allows old already delivered customer exits to continue being active has been preserved. So your FG would have been created as a R3TR FUGS and not a R3TR FUGR, this is "verboten".
