Lead creation from Social media.

Hi Guys,

Could you please help me how we can create a Lead from social media in C4C. Is there any help document to follow? or an API for lead creation from social media. And how we can achieve Lead creation from List ( files). Please help?

Hello Niranjan,

You can migrate the Leads using the migration template specific to migrate it. You will find the template under the Activity under Prepare Phase.

Download the template, fill it with the Lead data from your file and then migrate the data into C4C using the Migration Tool under the Integrate and Extend Phase.

The out of box business process to create leads from social media is the following

1. Setup social media engagement in C4C for Twitter, Facebook or YouTube

2. This will create social media tickets as consumers/customers post to your monitored social sites

3. If the social ticket is a sales inquiry, then you can create a follow-up Lead from the ticket (activate Lead Management for your service/social users).

To add more details, You can download it from Prepare for Data Migration activity in Prepare phase and migrate the filled template using the activity Migration of Leads in the Integrate and Extend phase.

Hello,

Social media messages create tickets.. from these tickets it is possible to create follow up documents Lead, Opportunity and Sales Quote.

Hi,

I think it is not yet possible to create leads directly from social media the way tickets are created.

But you may request for this feature in C4C Ideascale  https://ideas.sap.com/ct/ct_list.bix?c=SAPCloudforCustomer

Until then, one workaround that I can suggest is.. all the social media comments come into Service --> Social Media Messages as individual messages and not part of any ticket.

From here, you may export them to excel, make the relevant changes and import into the leads view.
