Using WebI Reports as a data source for Dashboards

Sorry if this question seems rudimentary but I am new to the Dashboarding world. I am creating WebI  reports for my client and they would like to be able to see the data from those reports populated in dashboards. The reports are based on dates and/or date ranges so they would like to be able to select the dates in the dashboard and have the data update accordingly. I know that I could run the reports, manually upload the data into the spreadsheets but with all of possible combinations of dates, parameters, filters, etc. that doesn't seem to be the most efficient way to handle this. Is the only way to have to two components (WebI and Dashboards) interact so that this "up to the minute" type of dashboard capability is possible is to have a Live Office connection? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can connect webI reports with dashboard using Live office (or) Web service.
