SPM Data Loads Release for Reporting Fails

Hi there

If you could please assist ,

data is received on SPM Data management, validation complete, while releasing data onto reporting from transactional data sources "PO and INVOICE", we picked up the attached program Error from BW [ST22]

"Abap Programming Error, Runtime Errors : OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED, Except : CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL, Abap Program OPM_DM_UPLOAD_TO_BI....

This is a standard Program , and it only get executed during SPM Data management >> Work with active Projects >> Release to Reporting , while looking at the Program , we realise its trying to read some of the fields that are passed as blanks during the loads to PO's and Invoices,

If you could please advise any relevant note to apply otherwise during the load on PO's some of the following fields where picked up as blanks on records :

1. Payment Terms

2. Cost Center

3. Agreement

4. GL Account

5. Material

6. Controlling Area

Hi John Thanks again for the feedback, We have looked at the Note shared below and it refers to roles, while re executing the load and realising the data to reporting, we still do not have highlighted missing roles from Su53 , however remain with an Abap Dump program on st22. Su53 transaction is clean, and OPMDM_UPLOAD table contain Upload_Type PO, BI_UPLOAD_STATUS : PROGRESS, however this reflect the same status in SPM : Release in Progress , in SM37 this Job Cancelled In the same note , there is a referenced note 2006703 , this note highlight another support package SAPKW74008 , we have unfortunately already applied this support package in our QA box. Overall we are able to load the other Master data components including contracts , using the same user roles If you can please maybe advise a specific note to maybe fix the Abap Dum error, Regards Khuliso

Hi Khuliso,

        Based on the behaviour you are describing it seems that there is a failure in the process chains which are being run when you are executing the upload to BI.

     In RSA1 you will need to check the logs for the process chains for PO and Invoice. This is where you can see what step is failing in the process.

      Can you present some additional information from the short dump?

Thanks again for the feedback,

I have re - installed the DTP's that are defined within the process chain, and now the loads run until release to reporting point with success , the problem that we have now I that , while the release to reporting is a success .... the data is still not being pushed up to the reporting Cubes , the reporting cubes are still empty and hence the reports in SPM are empty as well

I understand John had a number of notes he advise we apply , however the notes version was incompatible to our BW version,

Do you perhaps have a guideline to advise if you have seen this issue before , if you could please assist.
