SAP GUI fails with "wsaeconnrefused: connection refused"

Hi,

SAP GUI failed to connect with Application server(Windows 2012  Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 with MAXDB) and fails with the following error. ...

1) SAP MMC GUI ->disp+work.EXE service stopped. I have tried restarting the SAP System, but still this service goes to stop state.

2) When I've tried to connect with using "R3trans" it fails...

It seems there is issue in starting the database.

Can you please share your suggestions. I'm stuck with this issue.

Hello,

The root cause is that the database is not running...

Since the database is not running the Dispatcher cannot start...

Then, SAP GUI cannot connect to it (as it is not running).

Involve your database team.

Once the database is up, you can start SAP again.

If you need assistance with the database issue, please post the errors that are occurring when you start it. Maybe someone on the community can help you with that .

Right, this appears to be an database issue.

1) I have tried to start the "MAXDB: DB1" windows service and checked the event logs. I can see few event logs , the event logs indicate that service DB1 instance has been started successfully. But not sure why the Windows service failed to start. I have posted the event logs towards end of this post,

2) Also,  I have executed the "sdbverify" to check if the database has been installed correctly. This tool reported some errors as shown below.  SAP ERP installer didn't report any issues with installation. In fact, SAP GUI was able to connect to Application server right after the installation of the ERP. All these problems started when I have rebooted my system. Not sure what changed after the installation. -

According to the below trace info, seems there is an ACL issue. Can you please share your inputs on this error.

Hi Mahesh,

seems to be an OS related problem if you cannot start services. Please check the entries in the control panel > adminstrative tools > event viwer when the service start fails.
