Transactions getting deleted automatically

Dear Guru's

We have a landscapes where in the activity types appointments and tasks are getting deleted from the system , we suspect groupware as the root cause.The groupware version is 10.30.01.02 on which the issue is happening. As the transactions are getting deleted we do now have much option to investigate the issue.Kindly let me know how to approach the issue.

Hi,

Can you check in table CDHDR, CDPOS when these transactions are deleted and by which user deletes it.

CDHDR- CHANGE_IND = 'D'.

Dear Vignesh,

What ever the reason whether the activity got deleted manually or with out the user intervention the deletion would be under the user's name only and it would hard who deleted it.

Hi,

How did you resolve this. And how can you say that the issue is because of Groupware.

We are facing similar issue, Groupware version 10.30.03.00.

Yes it is extremely difficult to isolate which is causing the issue......but we had this in the lower systems very long back groupware kept on deleting the transactions for random user's then SAP told to upgrade the groupware but it kept on happening after few months even after the upgrade.......we had lately raised OSS for which SAP told that the issue would not come under support rather it would come under consulting as the issue was not replicable.........the issue is still unresolved......the users are also having access to delete appointments.....not sure if groupware is causing the issue or any other cause ....is it the same issue you are facing ......our version is also 10.30.......check once the BDOC's of the deleted transaction if you would get any clue...and let me know.......

If the user deletes the meeting in Outlook what do you want to happen in the CRM system?

In GWIPROFILE you can adjust SyncDirectAppointment to be only CRM to Outlook, means Outlook changes or deletion would not update CRM

Thanks Glenn for the update,

However issue is not happening only with appointments but also with tasks as well, user is not taking any action but those activities are getting deleted on its own  last time we raised an OSS and SAP asked us to be on the latest groupware version however just checking if any of you faced thins issue and how to approach the issue since the difficult part is that we are not able to analyze nor replicate the issue since the transactions have been deleted with out any trace.

In GWIPROFILE you can set each appt, task, & contacts to be 1 way CRM to outlook, outlook to crm or both so you can make the same tweak to task 

but if user deletes task in Outlook....  your expected CRM result would be?

Dear Glenn,

Users are not deleting any thing but groupware is causing the deltion with out user interference we are suspecting this as a bug with groupware version itself, as we were not able to replicate the issue this is only our assumption in associating groupware as the root cause based on our previous expereinces since we cant think of any other root cause.
