Intercompany Posting and Clearing

My customer is using FB05 for posting and clearing inter-company accounts. They have recently  started receiving the maximum 999 posting error. I believe this is unfixable.

I wanted to explore why they would be using FB05. As well, explore the best recommended T-codes to post and clear inter-company accounts. I am considering offer a work around.

Any suggestions!

Hello,

1. For handling intercompany:

    We have SAP BEST PRACTICE - I would propose taking a look into these hand outs.

• Intercompany Basic Settings (B10)
• Consolidation Preparation: Intercompany Reconciliation (B30)

2. Posting error: "999"

    You only can enter 999 positions per document (BSEG-BUZEI)

What is the error message?

Not sure about your particular problem thus you can do that using LSMW as well

Please elaborate more about related issue.
