Hi Experts,
I am new to SuccessFactors and kindly let me know what is the difference b/n Provisioning system and Instance system in SuccessFactors.
Regards,
Venkat Polisetty.
Hi,
Provisioning is the backend configuration tool.
An instance is the frontend (the customer's space on the SF server).
The instance is accessible to implementers, admins & endusers. It is used to customize tiles, manage permissions, oversee user information, generate reports, ...
Provisioning is accessible to implementers, SF customer support. It is used to configure the system features, turn on or off purchased modules, upload templates, ...
Best regards,
Maxime

Hi Venkat,
Provisioning is used for activating/deactivating Success Factors modules, features, creating super administrators, uploading data models, job scheduling etc. Can be compared with SPRO in SAP HCM.
It is back end tool for Success Factors. Provisioning is accessed by consultants from implementation partners.
Instance: is the UI tool it has home page which is accessed by all the business users. In the instance we also have admin tools/center here most of the configurations are being done. Admin tools/center is accessed by admins and consultants.
Thanks
